Phosphorus Joins Dragos to Advance Device-to-Network xOT Security

Today, we’re excited to share an important milestone in the Phosphorus journey: Phosphorus has joined Dragos.

For our customers, this is more than an acquisition announcement. It’s the beginning of a new chapter, one that brings together two complementary technologies to solve different parts of the same challenge: securing the systems that keep operations running.

First and foremost, our commitment to you remains unchanged. The team, technology, innovation, and customer focus that brought you to Phosphorus remain central to our future. You’ll continue to receive the device security and management capabilities you’ve come to rely on, while gaining access to the unmatched OT expertise, threat intelligence, and operational knowledge that have made Dragos the trusted partner of many of the world’s most respected critical infrastructure organizations. Together, we’re bringing device intelligence, network intelligence, and threat intelligence into a more unified approach to securing Extended Operational Technology (xOT) environments.

This next chapter builds on the mission that has guided Phosphorus from the beginning.

Phosphorus began in 2017 with a simple but unsettling research insight that we had to solve: the average IoT firmware vulnerability has a seven-year half-life. Even seven years after disclosure, half of the affected devices remain unpatched and vulnerable to attack. That realization became the foundation for Phosphorus, securing the massive attack surface of the billions of connected devices that most of the industry was still ignoring.

Operational resilience has been at the center of what we do from the beginning, helping our customers strengthen their security posture by enforcing credential hygiene, governing firmware, and hardening connected devices across complex environments.

Today, operational resilience is more critical than ever. Systems that were never designed with security in mind now underpin every sector of critical infrastructure. Visibility gaps, vulnerable devices, insecure configurations, and operational complexity continue to create opportunities for disruption.

The reality is that attackers don’t act in silos. They don’t distinguish between devices and networks when targeting operational environments. Defenders shouldn’t have to either. By bringing Phosphorus and Dragos together, we’re helping customers move closer to a complete view of their xOT environments and giving them the intelligence, tools, and ability to protect them.

We’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more in the months to come. Together, we’re building the future of device-to-network xOT security.
